Lauryl Glucoside is a mild, non-ionic surfactant from the alkyl polyglucoside (APG) family, produced by reacting plant-derived glucose with lauryl alcohol sourced from natural fatty acids. As a biodegradable surfactant made from renewable raw materials, it is widely used in sulfate-free and naturally focused formulations including shampoos, facial cleansers, body washes, and sensitive-skin products.
Compared with shorter-chain APGs, Lauryl Glucoside offers stronger cleansing performance and contributes to a rich, dense foam profile, while still maintaining a high level of skin and ocular mildness. Gentle warming and stirring will help the beads dissolve and return the surfactant to a smooth, uniform consistency.
